🇺🇸 Hi! My name is Laís Gonçalves. I graduated from the State University of Campinas in Brazil in 2010 with a degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Literature, and Education, and moved to the United States in 2011 to experience the Au Pair life. Upon completion of the program in 2012, I returned to Brazil with a sharp English and in love with the USA. In 2014, I decided to once again leave my beloved Tupiniquim land to return to uncle Sam’s, but this time, to study Supply Chain Management in South Florida, the one piece of the States that feels just like home. Besides teaching, traveling, exploring, learning, and sharing, I also enjoy poetry and, just like Drummond, “I like people, animals, plants, places, chocolate, wine, mild conversations, friendship, love. I think there’s poetry in all of it.”

🇧🇷 Oie! Meu nome é Laís Gonçalves. Eu me formei em Letras pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas em 2010 e me mudei para os Estados Unidos em 2011 para me aventurar na vida de Au Pair. Quando acabei o programa em 2012, retornei ao Brasil com o inglês afiado e apaixonada pelos EUA. Em 2014, decidi mais uma vez deixar minha pátria amada Tupiniquim para voltar à terra do tio Sam, mas dessa vez, para estudar Gerência de Cadeia de Suprimentos no sul a Flórida, o pedacinho dos Estados Unidos que nos oferece estranha familiaridade. Além de ensinar, viajar, explorar, aprender e compartilhar, eu também adoro poesia, assim como Drummond, “eu gosto de gente, bichos, plantas, lugares, chocolate, vinho, conversas amenas, amizade, amor. Acho que a poesia está contida nisso tudo.”
